Tomorrow is April 15 - and normally it'd be a great day to panic for tax returns (as well as the normal deadline to submit your taxes)! But if you're in San Diego or one of the other storm-impacted counties, you have until Oct. 16, 2023 to submit your tax return this year! If you're a small business owner like me, doing my taxes for myself and my business can be a massive headache. But thanks to @Tongal and @HRBlock, I was able to delegate a lot of that work to my new favorite tax pro - Jamie! His knowledge and experience allowed me to confidently submit my taxes this year; knowing that it was accurate and no forms or write offs were missing.

Well... it's not supposed to be daunting BUT... IT IS supposed to be a lot of work! That's because the more prepared and organized we are going into a shoot, the easier it'll be to film it and edit it in a timely manner. Here are a few tips/elements on what makes a great shoot!
Our format is simpler for the layman to understand but still keeps things loose for timing and additional notes. Another great question that also goes into the script is do you want to hire a spokesmodel or do interviews with a certain person from your company (such as the CEO)? There are benefits to each but it will depend on the video's direction. Once the client and producer agree on the script, the next step is booking the various tangible elements for the shoot. A great location can make your video go from "eh" to "AH-MAZING." Sometimes clients want to cut costs by filming in their home or office - but unless that client is a professional interior designer or has had an interior designer work on their home/office, it's worth spending the extra money on renting a beautiful location that best suits their aesthetic. Time of day will also impact your shoot. Do you want a bright and sunny look, or is your brand a dark, mysterious, but cool vibe? These are questions you want to answer before we start filming!
There's plenty of other factors to consider when working with a production company but these are a few that I've found have been underestimated by clients who don't know video! STM Goods gave out one of the best giveaways at the entire tradeshow (a light-up skateboard, the size of a Penny board) and the line around the booth lasted all day!
